Cooking sessions: flavours from the four corners of India

With exotic aromas and complex flavours, Indian cuisine is undoubtedly one of the world's best. It is therefore no wonder that so many people adore it, and also no surprise that it sometimes seems quite a challenge to cook Indian food at home.

From April 7 until May 12, India will vote for a new parliament. The world’s largest democratic election ever is set to be very exciting. It is reflective of major shifts in Indian politics and society over the last couple of years. His Excellency Manjeev Singh Puri, since January the Indian Ambassador to Belgium and the EU, will give a special lecture about these unfolding events.

Storytelling evening Peter Chand

Fonkelvogel is organizing a storytelling evening on 19 April in Herent with Peter Chand. Peter Chand has been storytelling since 1999, and has entertained audiences all over Britain and further with his tales from the Indian Subcontinent. His parents migrated to Britain from the Punjab region in the 1950's, and though he was born in the Midlands, Peter grew up using Punjabi as his first language.
